Update all your drivers with one program

Update all your drivers with one program download
Every single piece of hardware in your computer, such as your graphic card, motherboard, sound card, DVD burner, network card, printer and USB devices, uses a so-called driver to operate. In short, a driver make your computer's operating system able to communicate with the connected hardware. The whole idea with this is that hardware manufacturers can develop one piece of hardware with a well designed driver that can operate on different types of operating systems.

What is the advantage of having the latest drivers installed?

The drivers provide communication between hardware and operating system, driver problems can cause many different problems on your computer. Some may be of less importantance and that could be that your DVD burner does not burn as fast as it could, or that your graphic card does not process the graphic data as fast as it could in PC games. The more critical driver problems could make your computer significantly slower, more unstable or even get your computer to crash. Typicaly these problemsare realated with key pieces of your hardware such as the motherboard, RAM or hard drive. In short, the latest updated drivers resolve both critical and less critical problems on your computer and increase performance of your hardware, thus your PC as a single unit as well.

How to update drivers

On the one hand it is quite simple to update your drivers. On the other hand it is a complicated, lengthy and a bit dangerous task. It is simple in the sense that in principle you simply must visit the producer of your hardwares website, download the latest driver and install it. On the other hand that creates the following problems: You need to find out exactly what type of hardware you have installed, the driver version which is affiliated and which manufacturer is behind every single piece of hardware. You will have to find all manufacturers' websites. Then the latest driver available for exactly the piece of hardware you have from the given producer. And there's often a lot to choose from. Finally you'll have to download the drivers and install them manually - one by one. What is worse is that if you install an incorrect driver it can in some cases create immense problems for "non experts".
