Download the smart VPN service Surfshark

Do you want to make sure that what you do on the Internet cannot be seen by others? Today, we spend a lot of time on our computers and on the internet in general. There, communicate with friends, family, and work, we buy clothes, gadgets, groceries, and even use our personal information to access our bank information, schedule doctor appointments, as well as many other things.

So we open ourselves up a lot while we're on the Internet. But being online should feel safe and, most importantly, it should feel private. But this is not usually the case. Once you've entered the 'www realm', traces of your identity are scattered along your path even if you don't think so. Your data could end up in the hands of third parties and it's possible for people to resell your personal information to advertisers or worse. In order to stop this from happening, many online users are turning to VPNs in order to protect themselves while online.

What is a VPN?

VPN is an abbreviation of "Virtual Private Network". The specific details of the name are not necessarily important for you to know, but it is good to know what such a program can do. In short, a VPN is a kind of camouflage for your internet activity.

When we normally search the Internet, we receive and send data. And that data is not as protected as we might think. Maybe some people remember the big controversy about Popcorn Time, where people who used the program got letters from attorneys who were able to see what they have used the program to watch. Everyone can contact your ISP to see what is happening on your connection.

A VPN sends your data to a completely different location by connecting you to a server that is typically overseas. It could be Germany, Turkey, Brazil, or the UK. That way, you cannot track the data you send directly to you, but only to a server that is far away. Therefore, many people today use a VPN to make sure no one follows you.

High security with Surfshark VPN

When acquiring a VPN like Surfshark, it is important to see how protected and secure they really are. You can find many free VPN services that do the bare minimum VPN should do but still put your personal information up for grabs.

This is especially true for VPN services that store your information on their servers. This means, for example, that the government of the country in which the service is based may require the information to be released. However, Surfshark is based on the British Virgin Islands and is therefore not required by law to store your data. Whatever data you send, will be deleted immediately after.

Surfshark VPN also has strong encryption built in, which means that if anyone should try to intercept your data anyway, they will have a hard time cracking it before it is finally deleted again. Security cannot be enough.

One of the superior things about Surfshark is the program's ability to perform what is called a "Double VPN hop". It's double masking. You connect to a server in Amsterdam, but your Surfshark network leads through New York. It makes you incredibly difficult to track because each and every pursuer will follow a false track.

Surfshark VPN also has a "Killswitch". This is intended to protect you if your VPN connection fails. So if a server you connect to is experiencing technical issues, you will not be left vulnerable by the program.

If you are very focused on keeping you and your system as safe as possible you might be interested in Surfshark's complementary antivirus program. This way you can both rid your system of any viruses whilst also protecting your digital identity online with the VPN.

Other purposes a mere privacy

VPNs are great for protecting you and your privacy, but they can do a lot more than that too. For example, with digital content that may be limited to specific countries. Take, for example, the DR channel in Denmark. They have their own website where you can stream everything they broadcast on TV for free. The reason for this is that all Danes pay a license (through their taxes) which gives everyone free access to national news. But if you opened the website in Portugal, you will not be able to access these things. Of course, this is because Portuguese people do not pay a license for Danish TV.

But if a Portuguese individual has a VPN and makes a connection to a Danish server, then the website believes that the person is in Denmark and thus grants them full access to everything DR has to offer. The same principle applies to you who justifiably think your country's version of Netflix is utter garbage. The different versions of Netflix can be very limiting to consumers outside of the US. But if you connect to a US server, you can create a US account or simply stream US content. The same can be done the other way around to other countries which has other offers.

A subscription plan that suits you

Unfortunately, Surfshark VPN is not free to use. It requires a subscription before you get all its benefits. If the benefits of the program discussed above appeal to you, then it's a good investment.

You can buy three different subscriptions: 1 month at a time, a year or 2 years. The cheapest is to pay for two years, with the monthly price being lowered from $ 11.95 to $ 1.99. You also have a 30 day return policy if you regret.

A simple design that hides the advanced

Surfshark VPN has many advanced features behind the beautiful facade. The program is designed to be hyper-efficient while also being user-friendly. The user interface is therefore not intimidating, but rather welcome and open to even the newest user. The warm color composition used for the user interface also plays well into this principle. The only thing you as a user need to do in Surfshark VPN is to choose which country you want to connect to. The other features work in the background for you without you having to actively do anything other than turning the VPN on.

Alternative software

If you would like to try a free VPN before choosing to pay for one, then X-VPN is recommended. X-VPN is a basic but also effective VPN that can help a beginner to understand what the whole concept is about in practice. The program is free and therefore does not have the highest protection and best features, but it is worth a try. X-VPN can be downloaded for free here.

Conclusion

Looking for a cheap and efficient VPN service at the same time. Then Surfshark VPN is for you. High security, extreme ease of use and complete privacy online are all guaranteed when using the program. Therefore, it is highly recommended.
