Guide to WinUAE download

WinUAE enables running Amiga programs under Windows including games, and workbench, deluxe paint div files like ADF files, AGA, CD32 and HDF, and Utilities like kickstart 1.3, 3.1 and kickstart, cd 32 etc compared to a standard Amiga computer.
There are a number of functions in WinUAE, which mean that you now have countless options to get the amiga you've been dreaming of - maybe it's an amiga 4000, who knows?
You also have the option of getting more ram on your amiga, not just 1 ram but up to 8 ram - ouch ouch! even hard drives can be found in the panel, where you can insert your favorite game.
Have you been one of those who have always envied your neighbor because he had an amiga 500 with an extra drive, then you are now one of the lucky ones who with WinUAE can choose up to several drives 3, 4 and more drives if you want to that, so you don't have to change the diskette constantly.
Because we all know that little dialog box that comes up in the middle of a game "Insert disk 8" and you just sit and wait to move on, because the amiga 500, which most people have probably had, is not known for its speed but for the huge selection of good old nostalgia games. And for its time it was also fast!
And you're probably thinking "amiga? who wants to play amiga! the games are probably extremely ugly" and yes they are, because the games today are of a slightly different standard, but for those who are into nostalgia and old time memories, then is it a machine that can be written into history, because there are many who have spent what looks like a lifetime in front of an amiga!
Can I just name a few of the games I played and spent an insatiable amount of time on:
Download has a good game like Lemmings 2: The Tribes. It's Abandonware, there are probably more on the way now, we'll see what happens.
Okay, now you've come this far, so you want to know how to install WinUAE, and most importantly: How to make it work. If you read through the original texts, it is a rather complicated matter. They use a lot of technical terms that you don't understand at all. But actually it's not that hard again. It's all about trying and if you do something wrong and it all looks hopeless, you can just uninstall and reinstall your emulator - it's done in a few seconds.
Step 1: (Installation)
To get started, you need to download (Or otherwise acquire) an emulator and a kickstart. I will assume that you use the same ones as me. Then you install the emulator and put the extracted kickstart in the same biblotek. for example, call your folder AMIGA so you know where to look when you need to activate your kickstart
Step 2: (Customization)
Now you need to adapt the emulator to your computer, the first thing you need to change is the destination of your kickstart file. You can see it under the "ROM" tab. There you must specify where your kick.rom file is located. Then you must set the ram down to 1Mb. (There are some games that cannot run with 2) And then you get to the screen. It is the most difficult. If you want to do it just like I did, check the boxes: Correct aspect and Full-Screen. Your Line-Mode must be: Doubled. Your X-centering should be: Smart. And your resolution should be 640*480. It may also be important which resolution you run with in Windows, but you will soon find that out. Now we come to the sound. The sound is a part that is difficult to emulate. If your computer is too small, you can only run with "half" volume and it doesn't sound good. What you have to do is check: Emulated, 100% accurate and 16 bit. Then it works very well (in the games I've seen). Finally, make sure to save your setting, this is done under "Configurations". You can possibly try to download a configuration. You put it in the library: Configurations. And it loads you saw.
Step 3: (Testing)
Now it must be tested. You download a game. Possibly. Lemmings 2: The Tribes You unpack that and then you find two files. One file for each diskette. Now you go up to the tab: Floppy And there you insert a floppy disk into the first two disk drives. And then you press OK. The game will now start up. If the screen fills the entire width and it otherwise looks good, then it works. Otherwise, you must go back and change the settings. You go to: ALT+F4 and you change the floppy disk and the same function to: F12. If the sound works perfectly and the screen works perfectly, then you have got the basic principles. and the game gives way :-D
Note at the end: According to the legislation, it is only legal to use these games if you already have access to the original or it is Abandonware/freeware.
