eduActiv8 is a collection of mini games and learning challenges for children across age groups. Download the software for free!
Here on Download.dk you can find almost every type of software and game. You can even discover titles to play with your children and grandchildren. On this page we look at one of them: eduActiv8 is a bundle of different mini games and challenges that kids of all ages can enjoy.
However, eduActiv8 is not available in Danish, but we still believe it can serve as a helpful introduction to the English language for children, as explained further down the page.
Supported platforms
eduActiv8 can be installed on most computers, as it’s available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. There are also mobile editions for both iOS and Android. You can read much more about the different versions of eduActiv8 on the official website by clicking right here.
We tested the Windows version of eduActiv8 on a PC with Windows 11 Home, and it took only a moment to download. You don’t need to install anything on Windows, because eduActiv8 comes as a ZIP folder that you extract anywhere on your computer. This also makes it easy to remove later if you stop using it—just delete the folder.
eduActiv8 is not available in Danish
The biggest drawback for Danish-speaking users is that, at the moment, the software does not offer a Danish language option. In some ways that might make eduActiv8 less useful for the very youngest children, which is a pity. Hopefully it will be translated into more languages in the future.

Even though eduActiv8 isn’t in Danish, we still think the software is relevant for our Danish audience. It may serve as an introduction to English: there are many different games and challenges to try, and along the way kids are presented with lots of English words. For children who are reaching the age where it’s time to start learning English, we can imagine eduActiv8 being a handy little program.
Multiple users across different age groups
When you open eduActiv8, you’re greeted by the welcome screen. Here you select your user and age group. That means several children in different age groups can use eduActiv8 on the same computer. You can create multiple users, and when you switch to another age group you’re presented with new games and challenges.
For age group you can choose either “preschool” or a year from 1 to 6. Alternatively, click “show all” to access every challenge and game.
The different games and challenges
Once you’ve chosen your user and age group, you’re ready to dive into the various games and challenges in eduActiv8. Broadly, there are three categories to choose from, represented by an icon with a book, an icon with numbers, and an icon with a puzzle piece and a paint splash.
Click the first icon with the book to see different categories of challenges and games about letters and words. Options include “Discover new letters”, “Learn new words”, and “Word builders”. If you click the “Word Builders” button, you can choose between different games, as shown in the GIF below. For example, there’s a game where you complete animal words.
If you click the icon with numbers instead, you’ll find more small games focused on numbers and math. For example, choose “positive numbers” to solve quick problems with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as shown in the GIF below.
As mentioned earlier, eduActiv8 automatically presents challenges that match the selected age group. Inside the Math category we noticed a big difference between what’s available for the youngest age group compared to the oldest.
Choose the third and final icon—the puzzle piece with a paint splash—to get “Art and Colour”, “Memory”, and “Games & Mazes”. If you pick the latter, for example, there’s a small game where you guide a mouse through a maze, as illustrated in the GIF below.
There are many more challenges and games we didn’t try and therefore haven’t described here. If you download the software, you can explore all the different categories for yourself.
Overall verdict
Overall, we think eduActiv8 is a fun little piece of software—especially considering it’s free. You could easily set aside an evening to test it with your child; if you both like it, keep playing until you’ve tried all the different games and challenges.
That said, the quality of the various games and challenges in eduActiv8 varies a bit. It’s also hard for us to judge exactly which activities are best for small children, as we’re not experts in this area.
As mentioned above, eduActiv8 is available for most operating systems, but unfortunately it doesn’t include Danish at the moment. For now, it may be best seen as an opportunity for children to learn English. Hopefully a Danish translation will arrive in the future.
