If you’re in the mood to give your brain a workout, take a look at the puzzle game Hex-a-Hop. You can download it for free for Windows here on DLC.dk, and there’s also a Linux version on the project’s SourceForge page.
At its core, Hex-a-Hop has you guide a little girl as she hops across green hexagonal tiles to complete each level. Once you step on a tile even once, it’s destroyed, so you must plan a route through the levels in the correct order—otherwise you’ll end up trapped and have to start over.
We haven’t finished every level, but Hex-a-Hop comes across as a smart, lightweight puzzle game that’s easy to spend some time with when boredom strikes.
Hex-a-Hop features plenty of challenging levels that demand careful thinking. The game is free to download.
