Internet Explorer 8 RC is released download
Microsoft has now launched the Internet Explorer 8 RC (Release Candidate) and is a version that is very close to the final version of IE8. Microsoft confirms that the RC version and the final version of Internet Explorer 8 are very close to each other, but when the final version of IE8 is officially released, Microsoft has not commented. IE8 comes for both Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista, and will be built into Windows 7. However, the version in Windows 7 beta is an older trial version. A few of the new features in relation to Internet Explorer 7 are a phishing filter, a surf feature that deletes all tracks on the hard drive, a new intelligent address bar, a so-called webslices feature that receives content from websites, and a "content sensitive" Accellerator feature that marks a text on a website and for example passes it on to a search engine. IE8 should also be much more stable and of course comply with the official web standards. Download IE8 RC English to XP (16.2 MB) Download IE8 RC Danish to VISTA (14.2 MB)
