Much of the search engine optimization work is about to analyze and there are a number of good programs for this purpose. Generally speaking, most search engine optimization programs are very expensive. In this article, I have therefore chosen to focus on the tools that you can use for free.

Xenu link sleuth

Have you previously worked with website optimization or development, you know formally already Xenu link sleuth. The program is free and has existed for many years. Search engines and, for that matter, users do not like broken links and it's here that Xenu can be helpful. Xenu scans a given URL for broken links and displays them for you in a simple and easy-to-understand form, where you can easily sort and extract data. SEO Power Suite

SEO Powersuite is as its name suggests a program with a collection of different tools that can help you anything from keyword analysis to technical optimization and linkbuilding. The program is very expensive if you want to save its results - but the programs can be freely used if you disregard this feature. The program package consists of four tools, of which I will only come closer to two of them, which in my optics are clearly the best. Download the full package here

Rank Tracker

Apps ranktracker allows you to enter a number of keywords and then scan for placements. In this way, it is easy to keep track of progress and decline in search results. After the program is installed click on the new tab. Now enter the URL of the site you want to check locations on, on the next screen you will be asked to select which search engines and in which countries you want to scan by locations. If it's a Danish site, you should only turn the search engines off, with Danish language. Find Denmark in the list and select Google.com (Online). These are the few that make searches solely in Danish, so Google.dk (Online) will be the most relevant to get rankings. You can also choose more, but it takes time to run the tracker, so be sure not to measure on search engines that are not required! You now get a report that can be presented in several ways, the list contains your keywords and your current locations. SEO Spyglass

SEO Spyglass provides a quick view of your or your competitors' link profile. When it comes to search engine optimization, links besides technical optimization of a website are the most important process. A link is a recommendation and they count Google and the other search engines, now more recommendations, now more importantly, a site / article must be. But how do you find relevant places where exactly your links can be placed? You can figure this out by checking out your competitor link profiles. SEO Spyglass gives you an easy and clear list of all your competitors' links, then just grab the pages that link to your competitor and see if you can get a link here. Some link placements can be easy to get to others hard. As you said, you can also use SEO Spyglass to track your own link profile, discover who links to you and see if you can expand your collaboration, maybe it already exists for you and your content has multiple pages linking? After installing this software, simply enter the URL you want to check up on and the program will now run all links for you. It may take some time before the program is ready to collect link information, but it's worth the wait so have patience. Download SEO Spyglass here

A1 Website Analyzer

A1 Website Analyzer is a web page and link analysis program. It may display error / problem links (including outgoing if selected in setup), file sizes, "HTTP response" codes, "duplicate" title, descriptions, H1, H2, "canonical", internal "anchor text" to pages, and all top phrases / words on all pages plus a lot more. (The tool has been in constant development since 2005/2006). If chosen, then canA1WA also validate HTML / CSS, make spell checker and search for text and "patterns" throughout the page. There is no fixed restriction on the number of URLs (or links), and the practical limit is typically well over 100,000 unique URLs even on smaller computers.
