Download a free demo version of the classic game Diablo 2.

Diablo II evokes a lot of memories for most people. The game was released back in 2000, and was extremely popular with computer gamers. The reason for the popularity is because the game was a continuation of the successful Diablo, also called Diablo 1. Both Diablo I and Diablo III were extremely well-developed action role-playing game, Hack 'n' slash game. In addition, the games have an incredibly exciting and captivating story behind them, and it feels as if one's actions have an impact on the world around one.

As I said, Diablo II can be downloaded in a demo version for free on this page. The game is developed for Windows, so if you use a Mac, then unfortunately you can not join this game.

Success

How can it be that the Diablo series has, and had such great success among computer gamers?

First of all, the Diablo series is incredibly well developed and no matter what role you take on, you will quickly be engrossed in the amazing world. Which leads to the second reason for the success.

Diablo is developed by Blizzard Entertainment, which has a great reputation for creating profound and immersive worlds. All the characters you meet have an intriguing story, and the various missions are also superbly written so that it all does not become too similarly shaped. The villains are interesting too, and there are many of them. The ultimate villain is 'Diablo' (The Devil)

Diablo tries to destroy the world, but before you meet him, you must fight your way through all his henchmen and try to improve your skills as well as your armor, and of course your weapons.

Completion

In order to make it through Diablo II, you must go through a series of villains and their subjects. The villains are usually other types of demons, and their subjects can be anything from skeletons to scary giant bats. When you defeat the various villains and subjects, then there is a chance that they throw gold, weapons, armor, etc.

The gold can be used to repair your existing armor, buy elixirs - or buy yourself better weapons or armor.

The different weapons make you damage more, and armor ensures that you take less damage.

Above is an example of a character who has picked up a weapon. The weapon is subsequently in one's inventory, and in it you can read up on whether the weapon is an improvement on your current one, as well as what requirements must be met before you can use the weapon. The higher you have set the difficulty level in the game, the better weapons and armor you can get by defeating the villains. It can therefore be an advantage to defeat the first and slightly easier villain on a higher difficulty level if one finds it difficult to defeat the next.

Villains

There are many different villains in Diablo II, but they are more or less within the same theme. The theme is the good against the evil, and primarily the light against demons. As a player, you fight on the side of light, and you will, among other things. cater to villains like:

The Butcher

Duriel

As you can see, the villain varies significantly in appearance, but how you deal with the different villains is also different. Some of them are relatively easy to attack, while others require strategy and planning in order to defeat them.

You may need to gather a group, but you can also use online tutorial videos if you are stuck. However, you can also always lower the difficulty level a bit.

Your role and character

After download and installation, you must create your own character before you can start playing.

As can be seen above, there is plenty to choose from and the choice of character is extremely important, as it is this character that you have to play the whole game through - you can of course always try some of the others. You different grades and their characteristics read the following: Amazon

Amazon uses primarily spears or bows. Your attacks have a touch of cold and fire when you attack the enemy.

Barbarian

Barbarian is the classic warrior, and uses primarily large weapons, or smaller weapons supplemented by a shield.

Necromancer

Throws magic, but with a focus on dark magic. You can bring skeletons to life, and order them to fight for you. In addition, you use primarily poison and other magical powers

Paladin

Paladin is a holy warrior who primarily uses smaller weapons supplemented with a shield. Paladin can shed light on his weapon, thereby inflicting major damage on the enemy.

Sorceress

Also casts magic, but does not bring the dead back to life. Instead, she uses fire, cold and lightning primarily for her magical powers.

The above characters are those included in the standard version of Diablo II. It is therefore possible to play two additional characters: Druid and Assassin, but these characters require the expansion pack of the game.

Since it is a demo version of Diablo II, which you can download here, you can unfortunately only start playing the Barbarian character, as the others are locked. To play the others you have to buy the full version of the game.

Should you be interested, a remastered version of Diablo 2, called Diablo II: Resurrected, has just been released, which you can read much more about at the link.

Conclusion

Diablo II is a fantastic fantasy game that offers exciting and utterly challenging enemies. Despite the fact that the game was released back in the year 2000, it is still incredibly entertaining, and has survived the years quite well. It can be a bit confusing to get into the game at first glance, but we guarantee that you will not regret it if you try it. The game is incredibly in-depth and there are many things to learn, but once learned, there are hours of entertainment ready for you.

Diablo II is a childhood memory for many, and the game is just as fun as when we were younger. Even if you did not play Diablo II as a child, you can still enjoy it.

Diablo II therefore receives a warm recommendation from us.
