Cooliris for Firefox 1.12

With Cooliris, you can find images on the web in a smarter way than by using Google Images. Cooliris presents your results on a clear 3D wall, letting you quickly glide to the photo you want. Browsing and viewing media online with Cooliris feels completely different. Search sites like YouTube, Flickr, Google Images, deviantART, and more. You can visually shop on Amazon.com and discover content from ESPN, MSNBC, and BBC, as well as trailers and the latest pop culture. When you install Cooliris, a button appears on your toolbar. When you're on a Cooliris-enabled web page, click the Cooliris button to launch the interface. The screen fades to black, and all images on the page zoom past you as if you were on a rollercoaster. They soon settle, and from there you can browse the page using the search bar at the top of the screen. Click an image to enlarge it—if it’s a still photo, it opens larger; if it’s a video, it expands and starts playing. At present, Cooliris supports only a handful of the most graphics-intensive sites such as Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Picasa, Flickr, and a few others. There’s a webmaster’s guide on the Cooliris website for users who host their own sites. A WordPress plugin lets bloggers add Cooliris functionality.

Cooliris (formerly PicLens) is a revolutionary tool, especially if you frequently search for images online. It gives you a great overview, finds images fast, and is simply fun to use.
