The best way to describe DocFetcher is “Google for your computer,” because you can really search and find just about anything with this program. You can specify file size, document type, name, and more. However, you need to index your files first, which you do by right-clicking the part of the program called “Search scope.”
All in all, DocFetcher works as intended, but is it really a necessary program? Today, Windows and Mac computers come with solid built-in search features, so this tool is mostly for power users.
