Use your Mac without clicking the mouse with DwellClick. Download a free demo and read our review here.
We’ve long been impressed with Pilotmoon Software’s Mac apps, so today we’re reviewing DwellClick from the same developer. The app is specifically designed for people with disabilities or motor impairments who find it difficult to click a mouse. While the demo is fully functional for 30 days, you can also purchase the full version for $15 on the Mac App Store.
So how does DwellClick actually work? In short, you simply move the cursor to the desired spot and DwellClick clicks automatically. It takes a little getting used to, since you won’t move the mouse unless you truly want to click something. If you move the cursor to the top of an app window, DwellClick is also smart enough to let you move or resize the window on the screen, and you can double-click or Control-click using the Fn key. It might sound a bit confusing, but Pilotmoon Software has an excellent introduction at this link.
DwellClick is a clever utility, but it’s most relevant for people who genuinely have trouble using a traditional mouse—if that’s you, we strongly recommend taking a closer look at DwellClick, even if the price is a bit high. The app is designed for Macs with OS X Snow Leopard or newer.
