Wouldn't it be great to have one resource with information on every Apple product? That's exactly what Mactracker for Mac provides. The app is free and, according to the developer, works on any Mac running OS X 10.6.8 or later.
Mactracker is downloaded as a ZIP file, so once you extract the folder, you can, for example, place the app directly on your desktop or in your Applications folder. The interface is extremely easy to navigate: on the left you can browse products by category or by year. You can also simply click the search field at the top and type the product you're looking for.
