The Lion King is a video game based on Disney’s popular animated film. The game follows Simba’s journey from a carefree lion cub to his showdown with his evil uncle Scar as an adult.
It’s a side-scrolling platformer where, as the playable character, you jump, climb, run, and leap from platform to platform.
Along the way, you’ll encounter various challenges and enemies that you must overcome. – If you take damage during play, you can see it on Simba’s health bar; keep it filled or you’ll lose a life and may eventually get a game over. Beetles in different shapes and sizes can be collected to restore health or grant bonuses. Some rare beetles are harmful – so stay alert.
Throughout the adventure, you’ll also build enough energy and skills to develop Simba’s roar into an overwhelming blast that allows you to overcome Scar.
Finally, in various bonus levels you can guide Timon and Pumbaa in their hunt for beetles and other goodies.
