Keep your passwords organized with KeePass Password Safe — it’s free. Download it here.
Today, everyone is encouraged to use unique passwords for their online accounts, including Google, Facebook, and more — but how do you keep track of them all? KeePass Password Safe, a free and open-source password manager, aims to solve that.
When you open the program for the first time, click “New” in the menu to create a new database. The app will then ask you to set a master password, and if you like, you can further enhance security with an accompanying key file. This database will store all your passwords, and because it unlocks with your master password, the idea is that you only need to remember one.
KeePass Password Safe works well functionally, but we weren’t impressed by its user interface, which is mostly gray and white. If you can live with that, KeePass Password Safe is probably worth your time.
