How it works
To add income or an expense, tap the relevant option at the bottom of the app. Then enter the required details.
Choose the date of the transaction and select a category for the type of income or expense. Enter the amount and optionally add a note with more details. The app then updates all totals automatically so you always have an up-to-date overview.
The complete overview
On the home screen you’ll see the balance for the selected month based on your income and expenses. You can switch to a weekly or yearly view, and move backward or forward in time to review past or upcoming balances. You can also add both past and future transactions.
Scroll down for a detailed list of transactions in the selected period, including the date, amount, and category. Tap a transaction to reveal your note. Farther down, you’ll find a chart that illustrates your finances over the year, giving you a clear visual overview to quickly spot where your budget is under pressure and why.
Use US dollars
The app is available in English and automatically uses your local currency based on your device settings. In the United States, it defaults to US dollars (USD), so you don’t have to convert from foreign currencies.
Unlock more features
This version is free to download. You can also upgrade to the Pro version if you want more. Spending Tracker Pro unlocks several advanced features not available in the free edition.
For example, in Pro you can add income and expenses that repeat automatically. Set your paycheck, rent, or subscriptions to be added every month so you don’t have to enter them manually. This adds another level of detail and convenience.
