Crossout is a free-to-play online vehicle combat game that drops you into the wasteland. The year is 2021, and the world as we knew it is completely destroyed. Your job is to build unique vehicles and battle players from all over the world. There are tons of weapons, armor, and modules—everything from chainsaws to rocket launchers can be mounted on your ride. The game is developed by Gaijin Entertainment, which has delivered successful and highly entertaining games for years. They also created War Thunder, which we’ve reviewed before.
Thanks to deep customization, every player’s experience feels unique. You’ll quickly recognize your friends’ builds when they attack. When enemies open fire, you immediately feel how it affects your vehicle, and you may need to change your tactics on the fly.
Bottom line: Crossout is an excellent game. We didn’t find anything we truly missed or felt was lacking. And since it’s completely free, there’s no reason not to give it a try.
