What exactly does GrandPerspective do? In short, it creates a visual representation of your drive. After you select a folder to scan, GrandPerspective displays a window filled with rectangles of different sizes and colors. The developer calls this visualization a “treemap.” It makes exploring your files much easier—and maybe even a little fun.
The best—and, depending on your needs, the worst—thing about GrandPerspective is its simplicity. You can tweak a few settings, but the overall feature set is intentionally minimal. Still, we highly recommend it; it works really well.
