League of Legends: Wild Rift 2.6

Download League of Legends: Wild Rift free for iOS and Android

League of Legends: Wild Rift is the mobile version of the well-known League of Legends. By installing this free game on your phone or tablet, you always have it with you as long as you have an internet connection. This way, you can squeeze in a quick match with friends on the bus or whenever you get bored at your next family gathering.

League of Legends (and the company behind it, Riot Games) has moved into the top tier of the most influential and sought-after games of modern times, and Riot Games has a firm grip on the industry alongside Square Enix right now. Be part of the success by playing Wild Rift free today.

Ease of use

The game is easy to install — you do it directly from the app store you already use. On this page we provide a download link that takes you straight to Apple’s App Store. If you’re using an Android phone instead, you can download the file here

Even though there’s a lot to learn, the game eases you in with a series of missions that get you started. Here, the game explains how the different lanes (paths) work, how to attack with your champion, and what the overall objective is.

This is a fantastic implementation that makes it even easier for new players to jump in.

If you’re on a Galaxy phone, you should use Samsung’s dedicated digital store, which you can access right here

Free to download and play — Wild Pass and cosmetic shop

The game is free to install and play — in fact, you can enjoy it without paying anything at all. There’s also a shop where you can spend money on cosmetics for your character’s appearance and more.

You can purchase skins for your characters — this doesn’t affect gameplay or make them stronger, but it changes their appearance and, in some cases, the visuals of their attacks and recall animations back to base.

Skins and champions can also be bought with in‑game currencies that you gradually earn as you actively play.

Ongoing updates

Wild Rift is updated regularly, just like League of Legends — and it’s easier for the developers to pump out content here as new champions are added continuously. There’s now a large pool of champions in Wild Rift, and the game keeps growing month by month. The newest update launched yesterday, called patch 2.6, and it adds, among other things, 3 new champions.

Lots of champions to choose from

As mentioned, quite a few champions have already made it to the mobile universe. So far there are 75 champions in Wild Rift, each with its own playstyle and matching skins that let you change your aesthetic.

Some of the most popular champions you can play right now are Kayle, Morgana, Dr Mondo, Lulu, Lucian, Vi, and Jinx. This changes constantly, though, so a month from now the top picks may look very different.

Every champion has a distinct identity in both combat style and appearance. That makes it easier when you face enemies — you quickly learn who does what, even if they’re using a skin. It also means you can switch between different champions to find the exact playstyle that suits you.

Choose the role you find most exciting

In the LoL universe there are six different roles to choose from: assassins, fighters, mages, marksmen, supports, and tanks. Each role plays a certain way and has a specific job to do during matches.

For example, support and marksman are usually paired, since marksmen often deal the highest damage but are easier to kill. Supports help by healing, shielding, or disabling enemies so they can’t move.

You grow stronger by taking down enemy champions or by buying gear with the gold you earn from killing minions, towers, and other players’ heroes.

Graphics and overall gameplay experience

The graphics are excellent — on a newer phone or tablet, there’s not much difference between Wild Rift’s visuals and what you’ll find on PC. In our testing, the game ran incredibly smoothly and stably across different networks (tested on an iPhone 12 Pro Max).

Other Riot Games titles you might enjoy

Ruined King is one of Riot Games’ newer titles that expands the LoL universe beyond pure combat into a richer, story‑driven world. You take turns battling enemies in a tactical RPG and get to explore parts of Runeterra with a team of iconic champions.

League of Legends is Riot Games’ most famous title. It’s also one of the biggest names in eSports, largely because of its huge player base. You can play LoL on your PC if you don’t like gaming on a phone or tablet.

There’s also a new Riot Games series on Netflix called Arcane, which has received rave reviews. It’s an animated series that follows some of the iconic champions you can play in the League of Legends games. Story, visuals, and audio are top‑tier — just like in Wild Rift.

Conclusion

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a fantastic game that was deservedly named iPhone Game of the Year in 2021 by Apple. It’s a near‑perfect adaptation from PC to mobile and tablet. Performance is smooth, graphics and audio are excellent, and server connections are solid overall, so online play feels right at home.

You can get many hours of fun out of Wild Rift — whether you prefer to play solo or squad up with friends.
