Realms is a medieval-themed strategy game where, as a newly crowned king, you’re tasked with ruling and expanding your own kingdom — a realm filled with cities, resources, and rivals. Released in the early ’90s, the game blends real-time combat with classic city and resource management, putting you directly in command of armies, the economy, and territories.
Build, fight, and conquer
Your kingdom consists of multiple cities that are critical to your success:
- 🏰 Cities produce grain and gold to feed your armies and fund expansion
- ⚔️ Train troops and build armies, choosing from 128 different unit types with unique abilities
- 🗺️ Launch invasions and defend in real time, where strategy and positioning decide the outcome
- 🛡️ Manage your realm carefully — unhappy cities, poor supplies, and weak defenses quickly lead to rebellion or defeat
