The Bard’s Tale II – The Destiny Knight

The Bard’s Tale II – The Hunt for the Destiny Wand Begins

The adventure continues! After defeating the evil wizard Mangar in the first The Bard’s Tale, your valiant party now faces an even more terrifying threat in The Bard’s Tale II: The Destiny Knight.

The powerful and malevolent Lagoth Zanta has stolen and shattered the magical Destiny Wand, which kept peace across the land. Without its power, chaos and darkness threaten the realms. Now it’s up to you and your party to track down the wand’s six fragments and reforge it—before it’s too late.

You can import your characters from the first game or create new adventurers and build a party with, for example, warriors, wizards, priests, archers, and of course a bard—whose songs can mean the difference between life and death.

The game offers:

  • 🗺️ An expanded game world with six cities and a vast overworld to explore
  • 🏰 Labyrinthine dungeons and dangerous enemies
  • 🧙 Turn-based combat and a deep magic system
  • 🔎 Plenty of puzzles, traps, and keys to discover
  • 🎵 A bard whose songs have real impact in combat and exploration

It’s all presented in classic Gold Box style, with text-driven adventuring, tile-based exploration, and an interface that rewards strategy and patience. The game remains beloved by retro RPG fans for its challenge, atmosphere, and satisfying progression.
