VisBilleder – Danish image viewer with editing features
Looking for a free photo viewer with Danish menus and simple editing options? Then VisBilleder is a great choice. The app is developed by Danish developer Flembo and works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. With a simple layout and handy features like slideshows, image rotation, and mirroring, it’s especially suitable for everyday users who want to organize and showcase photos.
Top 5 tips for VisBilleder
Create different photo lists—e.g., "Wedding," "Summer Vacation," or "Family"—so you can easily find and manage your albums later.
Turn on the slideshow so images change automatically. It’s perfect for family gatherings, presentations, or sharing memories on the big screen.
Under “Saved lists,” you can store frequently used folders and quickly start a slideshow without navigating every time.
Use the “Tools” menu to quickly rotate, mirror, or resize your photos—without opening external programs like Paint.NET or GIMP.
Not sure how something works? Click the info icon in the bottom-right corner to read the built-in help pages—they’ll get you started fast.
Easy viewing and organizing of your photos

VisBilleder organizes your photos into lists with folders, such as “Summer Vacation 2025,” which you can show as a slideshow on your screen. It works well for home use and presentations for guests. A typical default list is “Example,” which includes folders like “Artwork” and “Dinosaurs” — ready to display.
You can create your own lists and folders, though the interface can feel a bit confusing at first. Fortunately, the in-app help pages make it easier to get started.
Built-in image editing tools

As of version 3.8, VisBilleder includes a range of useful editing features. By clicking “Tools” on the left side, you can:
- Rotate images
- Mirror photos
- Adjust image size
It’s not advanced editing like Photoshop or GIMP, but for everyday tasks—such as straightening a tilted photo—it’s more than enough.
Installation and performance
Installing VisBilleder is quick and easy, and the program takes up only about 54 MB. During setup, you can choose to create a desktop shortcut. We tested it on Windows 11, where it ran stably without errors.
Note that a few files were not removed during uninstallation and had to be deleted manually — a minor drawback.
A solid Danish alternative — not without drawbacks

We appreciate that VisBilleder is free. The interface is in Danish, which is great if you prefer Danish menus, but it may be a barrier for some users. The editing tools are a big plus, though the UI could use a refresh and clearer navigation. If an English interface and a more polished look matter more to you, consider alternatives like Xlideit Image Viewer (English), which offers a cleaner interface and more features.
