Elasto Mania 11.1a

Remember the classic game Elasto Mania? If you’ve never played it, you can download the free demo.

Elasto Mania is a classic motorcycle game for Windows that first launched back in 2000. Because it’s so well known, we revisited it to see if it’s still worth playing today, and the answer is a resounding yes. You can download a free demo here or visit the developer’s website to buy the full game for around $8.

In short, your goal is to guide the bike through numerous tracks, collecting the apples and touching the flower at the end of each level. It may sound easy, but Elasto Mania is tough to master, as the tracks are often tricky to figure out and the motorcycle itself is very elastic.

We’ve also reviewed X-Moto, a free and open-source clone of Elasto Mania. In our opinion it can’t quite match the original, but it’s still worth a download, especially since it runs on Mac and Linux.
